    Goodwood Festival of Speed

Goodwood Festival of Speed, Mapping Projection from Darkroom Motion Graphics on Vimeo.

In July, I was asked by the wonderful people at Darkroom.tv to provide audio for their show event at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. With petrol-headed sound design to the fore, as well as original composition, editing of other musical favourites and my voiceover début, it was a job to remember. Just wish I’d been able to stick around for magnums of champagne afterwards…

Game of Thrones Projection, Hollywood from Darkroom Motion Graphics on Vimeo.

I’ve just completed this job for HBO for the forthcoming TV epic ‘Game Of Thrones’. I was asked to get involved by the wonderful visual geniuses at Darkroom who did all the animation. Asked to write the music as well as covering the sound design made this a dream job and it went out live in LA last Thursday and is showing every night until the show airs on Sunday 17th.

    Annakin: It’s A Sin(gle)

    Tags: , , , , , , , ,

The second single from Annakin’s chart-busting album Icarus Heart is out now, our cover version of the Pet Shop Boys’ classic ‘It’s A Sin’. Is this the toughest production I’ve ever worked on? Maybe, just maybe. Sheer love for the original song and a desire to make this version special, taking in Annakin’s wonderful voice, unique style and hybrid electronic/orchestral sound meant that there was plenty to consider! We’re thrilled with the result though and hope you will be too. Check out Annakin’s website here, or race straight to iTunes and make the purchase you so richly deserve here. Let me know what you think…

Calm Of Zero: Acoustic Sessions 1

    Tags: , , , , , , , , , , ,

Through late November and in the run up to Christmas, the wonderful Glenn and Sonya of Calm Of Zero asked me to record and mix a first collection of songs for their new project. The result is now available online in the form of Acoustic Sessions 1. For Echobelly fans, it’s a great opportunity to hear great new songs from a writing partnership you know and love. For newcomers, it’s just an opportunity to hear great new songs… ;-) Follow the band on Twitter and check out their myspace for forthcoming live dates. Plus, you can grab a copy of the mini-album here.
