    Iron Butterflies: Khaki Army Tank

For the past two years, whenever other production work hasn’t (happily) got in the way, I’ve been working on an album project of my own, along with a group of carefully chosen collaborators. This summer, I’m determined to finish it but in the meantime, I thought it might be the right time to start unleashing a few of its completed songs upon the world at large. So, here’s the first of what will become a series of pre-album postings. The song was co-written with Olivia Bradbury who recently graduated from the Guildhall School of Music & Drama’s Jazz course. Her wonderful voice and interesting worldly observations, spelt our through her lyrics, made her a wonderful choice for a collaboration and the result is this… Khaki Army Tank. Expect more from this project soon.

    Pop: Information Overload

Hey there you with a pop face, come up to my place and check this out… More pop for all of those dedicated to the radio friendly sound of a killer tune. This one again co-written with the lovely Cayte Webber, who is on tip-top vocal form from the off on this choon. What a busy week it has been - the studio’s moved (not without my prior consent, I hasten to add), I’ve bought a new LOVELY microphone, I’m working on new Swiss pop, I’ve been wrestling weird and wonderful noises from my computer and… I’m trying to make time through the next few months to get back on my album project, Iron Butterflies. Lordy, to where do the hours slip away…? If someone finds them lying around somewhere, could you send them back. Ta.

It’s the start of the week but to ease the Monday Blues, here’s a slice of pure pop. I’ve been working with the brilliantly talented Cayte Webber on a whole stack of pop tracks over the past few months and here’s our latest offering, the rough, tough Claustrophobic. Pop Pop-ety Pop Pop Pop. Let me know what you think people and if anyone’s got Britney’s number, call her - and point her this way…

As you may know, I spent much of last summer producing Annakin’s ‘Torch Songs’ album which is available in the iTunes store and through Annakin’s website. The album’s proved popular with critics and listeners alike and last month ‘Gone Awry’, the album’s first track, was picked as Single Of The Week by the dudes at iTunes. She’s currently touring in Switzerland, so get there if you can. If not, here’s the track in question…

Here’s the second of my 2 Aqualung remixes. This one is a re-working of the stonking ‘Something To Believe In’. It’s a bit more bombastic, so I hope you dig…

    TalkBox fun with Jason Bradbury

Talk Box from Jason Bradbury on Vimeo.

Here’s a little clip featuring The Gadget Show’s Jason Bradbury turning tricks on his Talk Box whilst I provide some synth. Jason wrote a track for a challenge on the show and I swung by to check out how things were progressing. We got a bit distracted by the wonders of his vocal machine… Since then, Jason has started a new series of The Gadget Show but most impressively, has also become a superstar author with the release of his début novel ‘Dot Robot’. The man’s a media giant! You can check out his assorted goings on right here: www.jasonbradbury.com
