    Tags: , , , , , , , ,

‘Pilot’ is the first single to be taken from Professor Penguin’s forthcoming album ‘Planes’. It has been awarded the prestigious honour of becoming John Kennedy’s ‘Record of the Week’ on his XFM show and has also been spun by Nick Grimshaw on his Radio 1 show. So what better time to release this visual accompaniment, especially as it’ll be released on November 28th. Come and check out the Penguin’s extraordinary live show at Camden’s Dublin Castle on Tuesday, November 22nd. And follow him on Twitter here.

DAIS II from christian ammann on Vimeo.

I was asked to produce the music for this film written by the wonderful Annakin and directed by Christian Ammann, the Swiss photographer and film-maker. Dais II is a fashion film promoting Irish fashion designers and is a collaboration between Christian and stylist Sonya Lennon. The project showcases successful Irish designers and was shot on location in Bantry House and environs, Co. Cork. The soundtrack was composed by Annakin and produced/mixed by me.

    Goodwood Festival of Speed

Goodwood Festival of Speed, Mapping Projection from Darkroom Motion Graphics on Vimeo.

In July, I was asked by the wonderful people at Darkroom.tv to provide audio for their show event at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. With petrol-headed sound design to the fore, as well as original composition, editing of other musical favourites and my voiceover début, it was a job to remember. Just wish I’d been able to stick around for magnums of champagne afterwards…
